The Yakima Association of Realtors

I obtained my real estate license in May, 2007 and have been active in my local Realtor's association from the beginning. In 2008 I received the Rookie of the Year award, the Realtor Achievement award in 2009 and have served as a director on the Yakima Association of Realtors board of directors since 2009. In 2010, I was the secretary/treasurer, 2011 the president-elect and 2012 the president of YAR.

The Women's Council of Realtors

The Women's Council of Realtors is the 12th largest professional women's organization in the country. I started the Central Washington Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors in Yakima, WA in 2008 and served as the local chapter president from 2008-2009. In 2010, I was the Washington State Chapter of WCR's president elect and served as the state president in 2011. I have also served on WCR's national steering committees from 2010-2013 and was the chair of the Communication and Outreach steering committee in 2013.
I was also a member of the 2012 Leadership Academy faculty, which is a training event for in-coming local and state chapter presidents and regional vice-presidents nationwide.

I am currently serving 3 year terms on the Business Practices committee and the Finance committee and was a member of the 2012 Strategic Planning committee.

A little about me

I was born and raised in North Dakota and graduated with a B.S. degree from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. My husband Dave and I have four grown sons and enjoy riding our Harley. We belong to the Combat Veterans United motorcycle group which focuses on supporting local veterans through fund raising activities. I have also served on the board of directors for the YWCA in Yakima and was a member of the Soroptimists.
